The final day of racing finally had a large field. After the crash the day before I seemed to ride a bit more cautious, but I made sure that I stayed in the top third of the field. Normally it is a bit safer there. I guess that I had the normal fatigue from racing to days prior. I had the sustainable power, but not the snap. Most of the race I found myself mashing gears that I should not have been mashing, but what can I say the gears were feeling good. I guess this way I did not have to change gears. This race had the same feel as the day before once we got down to the final laps. You could tell that there was going to be some carnage. With about five laps to go it started to rain lightly which made things a bit slippery and slowed the race down in the turns. This made the race decicing crash happen at a much slower pace with a lap and a half to go. I saw that Tim was in a lead group off of the front, so Ryan and I went to the front to set tempo with what was left of the field. Tim ended up finishing in the top ten. The mariachi band must have done him some good the day before! Brandon was quick to point out that about 17 people finished behind me. lol
